Comedian nails the discomfort of trying to support a friend who's in the wrong

Tragically, our friends are not always in the right. Sometimes they are in the wrong, and we have to figure out how to support them without technically endorsing their horrible behavior.

Comedian Caleb Hearon has captured this particular feeling in a front-facing video, which continues to be Twitter's medium of choice. His friend is venting to him about some situation where they clearly messed up but aren't admitting it, and he really nails the reaction of a friend who wants to help but is still ... a little skeptical of the narrative here. 

We see the vague affirmations, the anxious glances to the side, and the tentatively critical "part of me wonders" that inevitably gets interrupted. Did his friend fuck up? Definitely. Will he tell them that to their face? Absolutely not. Read more...
