NEW YORK — Justin Bieber was calling. Well, FaceTime-ing, to be exact.
It had all been a blur. Bieber had sent a cryptic Instagram DM that succinctly read, “text me,” followed by his phone number without any other context. Two seconds later, the phone was ringing.
What could he possibly want?
“Why is Justin Bieber FaceTime-ing me?” Elliot Tebele, the guy on the other end of the phone, yelped. He and his wife, Jessica Tebele, were leisurely driving uptown in New York City when Bieber disrupted the day.
Bieber wasn’t specifically looking for Elliot, per se, rather, his popular alter ego FuckJerry. He’s best known as the popular Instagram curator of memes ranging from Pepe the Frog to Netflix and Chill.
