Imagine it's 1999, everyone's bright-eyed, with possibilities of a new millennium, and the glory it could bring. And now imagine being told that in a mere 18 years, The Terminator would transform into the governor of California, only to devolve back into an aging reality TV host, in a feud with a tabloid-obsessed billionaire, who himself became president only after he hosted said reality TV show.
A terrible idea for a novel, or a sci-fi satire, and yet, it's our current reality.
President Donald Trump and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger have been locked in a strange feud over The Apprentice, the reality TV competition Trump hosted before dipping his toes into politics. Schwarzenegger then took the reins of the show after he ended his second term as the governor of California. And because Trump appears to need feuds like the average human requires water, Trump continually tweeted shots at Schwarzenegger's ratings, which he said were no good, very bad, not like the ratings of Trump, no.
